My journey from acne and blemish prone skin to current skin care.

One of the biggest thing in my life was dealing with acne prone skin for more then 13 years, from the age of 17. I know lot of people think that this is the ting that will go by itself and that it's natural for all of us. Unfortunately not all of us have that luck that their skin gets few pimples in teen age an not to think about it ever again.

Ovaj post govori o čitavom "putovanju" od kože sklone bubuljicama i aknama do sadašnje nege i gotovo čiste kože lica. Upravo su akne i bubuljice bile jedan od najvećih problema koji su me mučili i koji su mnogo uticali na to kako vidim sebe i kako se ponašam prema sebi. 
Problem sa aknama i bubuljicama imam od svoje 17. godine i svi su mislili da je to samo faza i da će proći kao kod svih drugih tinejdžera, ali nije bilo tako. Zato sa vama želim da podelim više delova ove priče kako biste bolje razumeli svoje dete, svog druga, drugaricu ili nekoga koga poznajete ko ima sličan problem.


My problem with acne started at 17 when I was in High school. From that time till now I was dealing with severe acne problem. First reaction to pimples and acne was that it is normal and it will go away. After few years acne spread around my body, on my shoulders and backs. I started seeing dermatologist and for year or two I got clear skin.
But they got back and this time in different form.
It was hear breaking and I felt terrible. Over the years that effected my confidence and the way a look at myself. But as I got older I realize that it can't bother me that much. I started learning about natural ways to deal with my skin, I have read a lot and watches YT videos, read blogs and few years ago started using natural cosmetics and organic products.

Moj problem sa aknama počeo je u srednjoj školi. Prva reakcija svih je bila da je to normalno i da će proći, ali godinama situacija se menjala, ali ne na bolje. Bubuljice su sa lica prešle na ramena i leđa i nakon određenog vremena potražila sam pomoć dermatologa. Nakon 2-3 godine lečenja moja koža je bila čista, ali to je potrajalo samo godinu dana. Nakon toga bubuljice su se vratile u drugačijem obliku. To me je mnogo razočaralo i uticalo na ukupan utisak koji imam o sebi. 
Tokom godina bubuljice se nisu smirivale i to je u mnogome uticalo na moje samopouzdanje, ali kako sam postajala starija shvatila sam da to ne sme da me definiše i da ono što drugi vide nije isto onome što ja vidim u ogledalu. Ponovo sam posetila dermatologa pre par godina, ali nisam dobila nikakve rezultate ni nakon nekoliko meseci lečenja. Zbog toga sam počela sama da istražujem i informišem se o ovom problemu na internetu, po blogovima, na YT. Odlučila sam da se okrenem prirodnoj nezi kože, koja nema toliko veštačkih sastojaka, i istražila sam prirodne proizvode koji pomažu u borbi protiv bubuljica i akni.


I tried dermatologist appointment again and didn't get results I wanted so I decided to do things my way as I knew my skin the best and I've been living with acne and blemish prone skin for years.
3 years I used all natural organic products and in that time I discovered Tea tree oil and I still use it in soaps and as a pure 100% oil.
I use it today as well as before but since The Ordinary came with plane and simple skin care that doesn't have a lot of ingredients in it I started discovering new stuff - oils, acids and new treatments that I have never heard before.

The most important thing with oily acne prone skin care is moisturizing and deep cleansing your skin.
Face wash and face creams are something I can't leave without.
I will say that I am not specialist in this area, that I learned all by myself and tried a lot of stuff before I found right combination for my skin. This is my journey and my favorite products that work for me. For someone else maybe these things didn't work but for me they are life saver.

Tokom tog perioda pronašla sam proizvod koji i danas koristim, ulje čajnog drveta. Ono je jače od joda i pomaže u dezinfekciji i suzbijanju bakterija. Koristim ga u sapunima kojima se umivam ili kao čisto ulje koje se nanosi na same bubuljice.
Umivalje, tj. čišćenje lica i nega u smislu vlažnosti koju licu vraćate su po meni najbitnije stvari kod nege masne i problematične kože. 
Čitav ovaj post je deo mog ličnog iskustva, nisam profesionalaci i nije mi ovo zanimanje, samo sam tokom godina života u ovoj koži, jedinoj koju imam probala mnoge proizvode i stvorila negu koja danas funkcioniše za mene i koja pomaže mojoj koži, ali ne mora da znači da će pomoći i vama.


Now I have specific skin care for day and night time and I have product that are used occasionally.
I love treating myself with good skin care, and over the years I used to having a lot of steps in everyday routine. Now I try to spear time and use product that are efficient and allow me free time and quick application in the morning before work, because I really can't spend 20 min every morning on skin care, I would rather sleep.

My skin care is different for day and nigh.
In day time I use products to make my skin matte. I wash my face with Tea tree oil soap and after that I use Niacinamide 10% + Zink 1% from The ordinary and day cream I use all the time. It is made in Serbia and has so good ingredients and my skin loves it - Burra day cream. On top of tht I use SPF cream.
When you use Niacinamide you can't use Vitamin C because they are not matching and Niacinamide can impact Vitamin C. Also Niacinamide is not for blemish it is for sebum control. You can use it day and night time.

My nigh time skin care is longer, because I can spent more time on it and I don't mind it.
I start with cleaning my face, taking off mu makeup with L'oreal micellar water and after that use tea tree oil soap. I clean my face and after that comes acids. I use two types of products - every other day I use Azelaic acid Suspension 10% and on blemishes I use Salicylic acid Solution 2%. After that I use different moisturizer also from The Ordinary and it's still new part of my skin care - Natural moisturizing factor + HA. Trenutno volim da imam efiksnu i brzu negu kože, koju mogu jako brzo da nanesem, posebno ujutru kada idem na posao i kada bih radije spavala 20 min duže nego imala bezbroj koraka u nezi kože.
Pored proizoda za dan i noć volim i proizvode koje koristim povremeno za ciljanu negu kože i kojima se bukvalno častim.

Moja dnevna nega kože izgleda ovako: jutarnje umivanje sapunom sa uljem čajnog drveta (Farmasi kozmetike). Nakon toga pažnju posvećujem matiranju kože i za to koristim The ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Cink 1%.  Ovo je proizvod koji služi suzbijanju sebuma i matiranju lica, nije tretman za akne i bubuljice. Ujedno ovo je proizvod koji nije poželjno koristiti sa Vitaminom C, jer se ne slažu.
Nakon ovoga nanosim moju omiljeno kremu koju pominjem po stoti put - Burra dnevnu kremu. Nakon svega nanosim SPF zaštitni faktor, jer je neophodan zbog moje rutine kože pre spavanja.

Nega kože uveče - počinje skidanjem šminke L'oreal micelarnom vodom i umivanjem sapunom koji sam već spomenula. Nakon toga sledi nega kože kiselinama. 
Koristim svako drugo veče Azeličnu kiselinu 10%, takođe brenda The ordinary i na bubuljice ciljano koristim njihovu Salicilnu kiselinu 2%. Treći proizvod koji koristim je krema koja treba da vrati vlažnost koži, Natural moisturizing factor + HA, istog brenda. Ovo je ujedno najnoviji dodatak mojoj nezi kože i treba tokom noći da mi pruži veću hidrataciju od Burra kreme koju koristim ujutru.
Kada koristite kiseline nepohodna je SPF zaštita tokom dana i ja tada koristim Bioderma SPF kremu za masnu kožu, o kojoj možete čitati ovde.


The Aelaic acid helps a lot with acne and blemish and I use it on my shoulders. It also helps to remove scars that can be left behind after acne. With this acid you need to use more moisturizing creams because it could make your skin dry in some area.
Moisture is super important for oily skin because lack of moisture and water in your skin makes it more oily because skin tries to compensate for dryness it feels with more sebum production.

That's why I use masks every 4 days and sometimes even every other day. I use masks for deep cleansing of skin and masks for moisturizing. I love sheet masks and Korean masks because they are efficient, also the best peeling mask for me is 7th heaven black seaweed mask that doesn't hurt your skin and doesn't burn your face.

Azelična kiselina je proizvod koji koristim i na ramenima, jer tu imam većih problema sa bubuljicama i dalje. Ona pomaže u smanjenju samih bubljica, ali i u smanjenju ožiljaka koji mogu nastati posle njih.
Kada koristite ovu kiselinu morate da imate dobru hidrataciju i da koži vratite vlažnost, jer zbog visoke koncentracije može stvoriti suve delove na licu. Takođe sa ovom kiselinom SPF je pod moranje da ne biste dobili tamne mrlje tamo gde ste naneli kremu.

Pored ovih proizvoda za dodatno čišćenje lica i hidrataciju koristim maske za lice, posebno one koje su papirne ili od materijala. Koreanska kozmetika je nešto što svi vole, jer radi ono što obećava, a ove maske u crnom pakovanju su pristupačne i odlične, dostupne u DM-u. Uz to posebno volim 7th Heaven maske i to crnu peel off masku koja je najbolja kod čišćenja lica. Ona se ljušti sa kože, a ne boli pri skidanju i ne peče na licu. 

And that is it. My skin care journey.
It was long and I felt so  bad during this process. So if you have someone with acne prone skin know that they feel scared and not confident enough. Help them by hearing their problems and going to dermatologist with them. I recommend going to professional to try and find solution for you acne problem. Read about person you want to go with and find out what other think about them, don't go to someone that is affordable but you don't know his/her work.

If that doesn't help I hope that my post will help you not to feel like no one else has the same problem and I hope you will learn something new that maybe you can use for your skin type.

Few more advice that were helpful for me:
* stop drinking milk and cut off amount of dairy products
* change your towels every week or more often
* change your pillow cases every 3 days

I to je  to. Moja nega kože. 
Ja sam prezadovoljna kako mo koža izgleda i kako sada mogu da kontrolišem svoje bubuljice i akne. One na leđima i ramenima su još uvek prisutne, ali u mnogo manjoj meri. 
Iskustvo sa aknama i bubuljicam je bilo bolno, na mnogo načina, jer i danas često vidim samo nepravilnosti na licu, a ne celokupan izgled. Ako vi imate sličan problem moja preporuka je da prvo nađete dobrog dermatologa koji će vas pregledati. Saznajte ko je pouzdan i ko zaista pomaže, nemojte zbog novca ići kod nekoga ko je jeftin, a nepouzdan. Ako ipak lečenje tog tipa ne upali, nadam se da vam je ovaj moj post bar malo pomogao i da ste nešto novo saznali čitajući ga.

Evo još par saveta kako da pomognete sebi:
* trudite se da ne pijete mleko i smanjite unos mlečnih prerađevina
* menjajte peškir za umivanje barem svake nedelje ili dva puta nedeljno
* menjajte jastučnicu svaka 3 dana ili jednom nedeljno


Toliko u ovom postu. Nadam se da vam se sviđa. Znam da je malo duži, ali morala sam da pokrijem sve teme koje spadaju pod ovu.
